Bethesda Ministries has implemented
Druva inSync for cloud-based data protection of employee data residing on all laptops and mobile devices. Using inSync, the Bethesda Ministries IT team can now ensure that all data created by employees is securely protected as well as meeting each user’s specific data management and compliance needs.
Bethesda Ministries is a not-for-profit organisation that runs real estate services, senior living locations and radio stations across the US, donating all income to the charity One Child Matters, which helps children in poverty-stricken areas around the world. The organisation’s IT team provides services to each unit and has a very diverse set of data compliance rules that different user groups have to adhere to. A previous endpoint data protection solution that was in place did not work for devices that were mobile and only limited sets of data could be protected. Druva was chosen to provide a simple and efficient way to protect data across the different groups.

Bethesda Ministries operates as a not-for-profit organisation, with any income above business expenses given to charity. The organisation’s spread of activities means that the central IT team has multiple data protection and security regulations to deal with around sensitive data, ranging from medical information through to financial data covered by PCI DSS. Each team or user group therefore has its own data protection requirements that are covered by Druva.
In addition, the new implementation allows Bethesda Ministries to provide more useful services to employees such as secure file sharing and file recovery through to improved governance and audit capabilities across data held on mobile endpoints. Automated legal hold processes can be implemented to collect and preserve any data that might be required in a HR issue, potentially saving days of manual work.
