Clavister has given details of a deployment of its W50 next-generation firewalls by Episerver, a leading provider of marketing and e-commerce solutions, to protect its business-critical data centers and services.
Episerver is replacing its existing Clavister security solutions with the new W50, Clavister’s advanced gateway for data centers and enterprises, to further improve performance and support further expansion. The W50 delivers firewall performance of up to 55Gbps and supports up to eight million concurrent connections, ensuring that the W50 aligns seamlessly with the growing needs for capacity and network flexibility that are typical required in larger data centres such as Episerver’s.
The deployment is worth 1.4 million SEK*, with licensing agreed for three years, ensuring that Episerver’s customers, including TalkTalk, Pizza Hut and Arla Food Services, can securely access key data and services at all times.
Daniel ?sterhof, VP of Operations at Episerver commented: “We have a long standing relationship with Clavister during which we have become accustomed to the robust security and high performance that its solutions deliver. The W50 will ensure that our business-critical data centers are fully secured both now and in the future, without compromising on performance or scalability.”
Jim Carlsson, CEO at Clavister said: "Secure access to business-critical information is extremely important for Episerver their customers. We are proud and grateful to have been allowed to grow with Episerver over a long period and to continue to have gained trust to deliver world-class security. The longevity of the relationship is a testament to the quality of solutions that we deliver."
Key features of the W50 include:
- Multiple interface module options, including 8xGbe (RJ45), 8xSFP and 2xSFP+, that deliver a flexible platform to meet a range of network requirements
- Next-generation firewalling, anti-DDoS, WAN Load Balancer and Server Load Balancer capabilities offering organisations a versatile function suite
- A mature cOS with redundant PSUs that maximise network up-time
The W50 solution also supports Clavister’s next-generation firewall services including True Application Control, Content Security Services and User Identity Awareness. Clavister’s True Application Control service enables in-depth analysis and management of application content, helping to identify Skype IDs, SQL queries, Facebook chat text, VoIP call information and more. Together with User Identity Awareness, this gives powerful, granular visibility and control over users’ access to applications across networks, enabling business-critical application usage to be prioritised and increasing overall business productivity. Clavister’s Content Security Services include IDS / IPS, web content filtering and antivirus, giving users advanced security functions to help protect organisations against web threats.
