Working with leading IT Services & Solutions company and Liquidware Labs partner, Capito Ltd, Harper Macleod has embarked on a large project to deliver a new desktop – physical, virtual and mobile – to provide users with the tools they need to work in the most efficient and secure manner possible.

Harper Macleod needs to deliver efficient Microsoft Windows workspaces to its Partners and staff but it increasingly found that login times were longer than acceptable. Supported by Capito, the firm evaluated several solutions and ProfileUnity User Environment Management software from Liquidware Labs was selected because of its ability to provide robust profile, policy, and user data management. As a result login times have been dramatically reduced.

“Some of our users were experiencing slower than acceptable login times due to legacy roaming profiles plus remote working systems were not able to scale and were no longer offering users the experience they required. On both physical and virtual desktops, ProfileUnity has enabled substantially quicker time from login to initial application use, more stability and an identical end user experience whether they are working from one of our offices or remotely,” commented Richard Harvey, IT Director at Harper Macleod.  “Liquidware Labs has helped us to achieve a number of our key goals laid down for our Fee Earner desktop project, such as quicker remote working, true hot-desking and seamless user experience across all devices.”

ProfileUnity with FlexApp overcomes many of the challenges in delivering next-generation desktop environments.  “Harper Macleod’s deployment of ProfileUnity with FlexApp is a classic “use case” of our solutions in providing customers the best possible user experience,” stated Jason E. Smith, VP Products, Liquidware Labs. “Our ability to add value to their environment by speeding login times – across a mixture of Windows desktop types – while providing robust User Environment Management was key to their project. We are excited to play a part in assisting Harper Macleod in achieving their goals.”
