Vodafone Germany launches Cloud Unified Communications

Vodafone Germany has selected BroadSoft's UC-One to power its new cloud-based UC services. Vodafone One Net Business is a scalable UC solution for small-medium businesses (SMB) designed specifically to support their current and future growth needs.

Vodafone One Net Business is a flexible, cost-effective, scalable and integrated solution that targets the sizable SMB marketplace(1). In Germany, this represents 58% of all businesses, with the cloud UC market set to grow at 18% CAGR by 2020, according to a recent report by industry analyst firm MZA. Vodafone One Net Business seamlessly connects fixed and mobile communications in a single solution, offering one number, bill, provider, and voicemail built on a proven, secure and future-proof platform. Unlike other OTT-based mobile UC solutions, Vodafone One Net Business is the first mobile UC service in Germany to deliver tightly integrated mobile features through a simple and intuitive user experience.
"Vodafone One Net Business marks a significant landmark in our ongoing strategy to meet rising customer expectations at a time when demand for cloud UC is increasing. It is ideal for businesses with a highly mobile workforce and a need to customise their current telephony," said Alexander Saul, Vodafone Germany's Director for Enterprise Business. "With its mobile-centric approach, BroadSoft's UC-One is the ideal solution for the German small-medium market where seamless mobility, productivity and cost-effectiveness are the key decision criteria."
Taher Behbehani, chief digital and marketing officer, BroadSoft, underlines the importance of a mobile-first approach when it comes to business communication: "We are delighted that BroadSoft was selected to deliver Vodafone Germany's One Net Business solution. According to our latest annual global business survey, service providers see UC and mobility as key drivers for SMBs, and as this market shifts to mobile-centric unified communications, we believe that BroadSoft is best positioned to deliver on its full promise and potential."
