GE Veteran Larry Biagini joins Zscaler as chief technology evangelist to bolster growth

Biagini recently retired from GE, where he focused on modernising infrastructure, expanding employee services and deploying secure cloud technology for use by GE's employees, customers and partners. Biagini's career has spanned 35 years in technology covering manufacturing, logistics and financial systems across the healthcare, media, aviation and energy verticals.

In his 26 years at GE, Biagini held various positions in information technology including vice president of IT risk, having responsibility for all aspects of risk, governance and security; vice president & CIO of GE Capital; chief technology officer for GE Aviation and chief technology officer and CIO for GE. In many of these roles, Larry was instrumental in driving successful technology integrations of global mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
At Zscaler, Larry will focus on helping customers and partners better plan and execute their inevitable move towards expanding their use of cloud services.
"During my time at GE, my focus was on keeping systems and technology on the forefront of innovation while making sure we had IT infrastructure and systems in place that could help our businesses perform at the highest level," said Biagini, chief technology evangelist at Zscaler. "I've always been impressed by Zscaler's cloud-based security platform. It is ideal for protecting the modern fast-evolving organisation where many workers are remote, use a variety of devices and freely interact with each other using cloud applications and services."
"Security is perhaps the most prevalent challenge facing companies today, and the ability to manage it successfully differentiates market-leading companies from their competitors," said Jay Chaudhry, founder and CEO of Zscaler. "Larry's deep knowledge gleaned from his experience at a Fortune 10 company will bring essential perspective to Zscaler and our customers as we continue our growth to meet increasing global demand."
