Richard S. Chernicoff has joined Diablo’s Board of Directors as an independent director. Chernicoff brings extensive executive experience in business strategy, intellectual property, and corporate finance, spanning multiple technology sectors.

Chernicoff has held high-level executive positions at Tessera Intellectual Property Corp, Unity Semiconductor, and SanDisk Corporation. Over his 13-year business career, Chernicoff formed joint ventures, led financing efforts, re-engineered supply chain and launched several successful products. In addition, he was responsible for an intellectual property business, which garnered $500 million in annual revenue. Chernicoff also spearheaded numerous strategic initiatives and contributed heavily to SanDisk’s revenue growth from approximately $560 million to $3.5 billion during his tenure. His 16-year professional services career includes work at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, the Division of Corporation Finance of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, and Ernst & Young LLP. Chernicoff holds a J.D. from Saint John’s University, a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Northridge, and certifications from the California Bar and California State Board of Accountancy.
