Lanware has formed a partnership with leading global security software provider, Trend Micro, to deliver enterprise level secure technology solutions to smaller businesses across the UK.
Increasing threats around data and cyber security mean that anti-malware and other security software now needs to be a fundamental element of any outsourced technology solution. Deep Security is advanced anti-malware software that delivers fast, effective protection against threats and operates on a concept of ‘day zero’ protection – using sophisticated virtual patching to block attacks, ahead of fixing the breach which can take longer.
The product is specifically developed for multiple machines that sit on a single server. This is particularly beneficial where outsourced IT services are provided to multiple firms, as with 30% of Lanware’s current clients who are using Deep Security as part of a total IT package. Lanware’s growing partnership with Trend Micro will ensure that Deep Security is included as a core component of the Lanware outsourced offering.
“We are proud to integrate a leading global IT security solution with our Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform. We have chosen to partner with Trend Micro not just for their products, but because our companies have a strong cultural alignment and we can work together to further our reputation for secure and compliant IT services to the Financial Services sector. Trend Micro is recognised as a leader in this space, and it is important to us that we deepen our partnership to ensure continued service excellence to our clients,” commented Henry Duncombe, Managing Director of Lanware.
“Lanware has already demonstrated the ability to take our technology into financial services and this further helps this push and focus in a sector where data security and privacy are particularly sensitive and prominent issues. Being recognised as gold partners reflects the level of commitment Lanware has shown to strengthening our partnership, which has included, for example, additional training for their engineers to be able to support the security offering in hybrid cloud,” added Ross Baker, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Trend Micro.
