Guidance Software’s cloud architecture uses its lightweight, unified endpoint agent across its line of forensic security applications. In phase one, Guidance will enable customers to activate EnCase Endpoint Security in the cloud. It will also facilitate proofs-of-concept through environments hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“Enterprises today are looking to adopt cost-effective solutions that can be easily accessed from anywhere at any time; a cloud-hosted solution does just that,” said Ken Basore, senior vice president of engineering at Guidance Software. “Leveraging the cloud, our customers can reduce their reliance on hardware and infrastructure, and consolidate their technical footprint, reducing risk and fostering greater agility. Guidance Software is committed to aligning with our customers’ business goals and evolving technological needs.”
Cloud computing increases innovation and collaboration. Guidance’s new cloud offering will benefit organizations of all sizes such as:
· Small-to-medium sized businesses that do not have the resources to manage multiple applications in-house.
· More mature organizations, such as multi-national corporations, that are moving more of their application stack in hosted environments; and
· Management consultants and other service organizations that need real-time access to critical and intensive security applications in the cloud, allowing them to deliver managed services at the client site.
