Avnet has been named Cisco EMEA Data Centre Distributor of the Year for 2015. The recent accolade highlights the strength of the partnership between the two companies in the UK, which celebrated their fifth anniversary in 2015. During that time, Avnet has built and developed a community of highly specialised solution provider partners that have supported Cisco through its entry into the data centre server market.
Avnet supports partners with a wealth of resources and technical integration capabilities. In the UK, Avnet has achieved a double digit increase in data centre sales and significantly expanded partner reach in the last 12 months.
Avnet has fostered deep relationships with complementary technology vendors such as EMC, IBM, NetApp, Nimble, VMware and Veeam. These relationships have enabled Avnet’s partners to create complete solutions based on Cisco server technology to help their end-user customers improve productivity and profitability.
In addition, by utilising Avnet’s assembly and integration services, partners have been able to quickly provide customised solutions that are fully tested, validated and integrated, allowing for faster delivery and implementation in customers’ data centres.
