Tintri wins virtualisation project of the year at the 2015 SVC awards

VM-aware storage solution scoops award with Housing & Care 21.

Tintri has won virtualisation project of the year at the 2015 Storage, Virtualisation and Cloud (SVC) Awards for its work with customer, Housing & Care 21. Tintri was also runner up in the virtualisation company of the year category. Tintri builds VM-aware storage specifically for virtualised applications, which simplifies management, improves performance and saves organisations time, money and sanity.

The annual SVC awards bring together industry experts to recognise innovative products, projects and services as well as companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualisation and storage sectors. The SVC Awards recognise the achievements of end-users, channel partners and vendors alike.

The virtualisation project of the year award recognises Tintri’s alignment with its customers’ objectives. As a result of using the Tintri solution, Housing & Care 21, one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit providers of retirement housing and care services for people aged 65 and above, has simplified management, increased reliability, lowered power costs and reduced the data center footprint by 10 percent. Ed Newman, IS Technical Services Manager, Housing & Care 21 commented: “Since implementing Tintri, it has been so much easier to use and we have noticed a huge performance increase. The Tintri systems are very easy to configure and manage and the scalability is a huge advantage. With the benefited cost savings we have just moved our DR center into our own building.”

Earlier this year Tintri also secured $125 million in series F funding and launched its first all flash platform—solidifying its position as the storage of choice for virtualised enterprises.

Doug Rich, VP of EMEA at Tintri commented: “This award reinforces our commitment to the storage, cloud and virtualisation market. We are really pleased to have received the virtualisation project of the year award—it’s a great cap on a year where we consistently delighted customers with our innovative products and proactive approach to service.”
