Opengear has signed an OEM representative agreement with NetXcom Holdings (Pty) Ltd and a distribution agreement with AxizWorkgroup, a highly respected value added distributor with headquarters in Midrand, South Africa. With five branches in Southern Africa and additional branches in Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe; AxizWorkgroup provides a range of value added technical, sales and marketing services to support over 40 technology vendors to a community of over 4000 resellers across these regions.
The agreement which came into effect on 01 August 2015 covers the entire Opengear portfolio of solutions with AxizWorkgroup providing a range of supporting services including first line support, training and certification, stock holding and financing of solutions.
The motivation for NetXcom and AxizWorkgroup to pursue the Opengear OEM and Distribution agreement is clear according to Theo Bensch, Co-Founder and CEO of NetXcom Holdings, “The demand for “Smart out-of-band™ remote access solutions is growing rapidly as coverage of 3G/4G cellular connectivity increases and demand for ‘always on IT’ accelerates across the region.”

The formal partnership was agreed upon following a number of successful “Proof of Concept” projects between Opengear, NetXcom and AxizWorkgroup.
