Paton joined Riverbed in 2012, as a result of Riverbed’s acquisition of OPNET Technologies, Inc, when he managed the SteelCentral Business Unit as Regional Sales Director for UK and South Africa during the remainder of 2013 and 2014. In January 2015, Paton became Regional Director, Major Accounts for the UK, leading the team with responsibility for some of Riverbed’s large global customers. Prior to Riverbed, Paton has held several senior account management and channel sales positions at OPNET Technologies, and Network Physics.
As Regional Vice President of the UK at Riverbed, Paton will be tasked with leading the team to sell solutions from across the Riverbed Application Performance Platform™, ensure closer engagement with existing customers, drive deeper penetration into important vertical sectors, as well as generate new business opportunities with strategic partners.
