EMEA sales appointment for Datawatch

Datawatch appoints analytics Veteran Andrew Batchelor as Vice President of EMEA Sales.

Datawatch Corporation has named Andrew Batchelor as Vice President of EMEA Sales. Batchelor has held senior European leadership positions with both SAS and most recently Tableau, where he was the Director of EMEA Sales and helped grow Tableau’s enterprise business in EMEA.
As Datawatch’s senior leader in the region, Batchelor will be responsible for further developing the EMEA enterprise sales team, and expanding Datawatch’s presence. He will work on direct and partner sales operations, field marketing, technical resources and business development.
“Andrew's experience and knowledge of our marketplace make him a great fit for Datawatch,” said John Judge, chief revenue officer of Datawatch. “He will be a tremendous asset to the sales team in EMEA, and I am sure his leadership there will produce great results.”
Prior to Tableau, Batchelor held leadership positions at 1E, SAS, Messagelabs, Oracle and Computer Associates.
“During my time with Tableau, I encountered many users who found data preparation was just taking too long, was too complex, or required too many resources to get it done correctly,” said Batchelor. “Datawatch is the ideal solution to bridge the data access gap that keeps organizations from using business analytics solution to their full potential. I am looking forward to working with customers to help them understand how Datawatch can help support their Big Data initiatives.”
