Huawei is now a Platinum Member of The Open Group organisation, joining other IT industry leaders with this status such as Capgemini, HP, IBM, Oracle, and Philips.
As the IT industry grows to encompass a convergence of technologies including cloud computing and big data, end-user organisations are looking for guidance on how to take advantage of these tools in the rapidly changing market. While the telecommunications industry is going through this digital disruption, their customers are increasingly demanding a real time, on-demand, all online, DIY and social (ROADS) experience. Enterprises have also realised that transformation is inevitable and, in order to be successful, they have to look for ways to build operations and develop processes that are nimble and agile.
The Open Group is a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through IT standards. Through forums, work groups, certificates and events The Open Group facilitates access to integrated information to support business process improvements, also known as Boundaryless Information Flow™. The Open Group’s member organisations work to establish open, vendor-neutral IT standards and certifications in a variety of subject areas critical to enterprises.
“It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Huawei to The Open Group as a Platinum Member,” said Allen Brown, President and CEO, The Open Group.
