CloudBees Jenkins solution to run on top of Amazon EC2

CloudBees' Jenkins Platform now runs on AWS. The extension is a new level of integration that enables customers to easily install the CloudBees Jenkins Platform and run it on Amazon Web Services’ EC2 cloud service.

The release of the CloudBees Jenkins Platform images on AWS benefits customers of both companies. It offers CloudBees customers the ability to scale their CD deployments by shifting Jenkins’ compute-intensive jobs and resources to Amazon’s EC2 cloud, thus leveraging the elasticity offered by the cloud. It also enables AWS customers using EC2 to use enterprise-level Jenkins solutions in their software delivery processes.

A deeper integration brings the capability of elastic slaves running on Amazon EC2 to Jenkins and, more importantly, lets organizations easily manage integration across all Jenkins masters centrally from the CloudBees Jenkins Platform. In addition, developers can use the AWS Command Line Interface from within Jenkins to interact with AWS services, including Amazon EC2, S3, Route53 and Lambda. The CloudBees solutions help operations teams quickly deliver Jenkins services to developers and leverage AWS to deliver software faster.

“The integration we are announcing today brings together the power of the AWS cloud platform with enterprise-level continuous delivery – all orchestrated by Jenkins,” said Harpreet Singh, vice president of product management at CloudBees. “This is another step forward in providing platform integrations and additional services for continuous delivery to our customers.”
