NaviSite Desktop, Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Enterprise Mobility Management solutions head to the G-Cloud 6 programme

NaviSite Europe Limited says that a number of its premier cloud solutions have been accepted onto the Government G-Cloud 6 programme.

Local UK authorities, Government departments and other public sector organisations will now be able to purchase the following NaviSite cloud solutions through the Government’s CloudStore: NaviCloud Desktop and NaviCloud Sessions (Desktop-as-a-Service), NaviCloud Director and NaviCloud Sphere (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM).

NaviSite Europe Ltd. has been part of the G-Cloud programme since 2012, offering an IaaS platform and storage-as-a-service and backup-as-a-service solutions to Government organisations. The addition of NaviSite’s DaaS, IaaS and EMM solutions mean that local UK authorities, Government departments and other public sector organisations can now benefit from tools like remote desktop access and secure and managed mobility resources.

G-Cloud 6, launched in February 2015, is a set of frameworks for the public sector to buy cloud-based services through a digital marketplace. This latest iteration has 1,453 suppliers, an increase of over 15 per cent on G-Cloud 5 applications, and 10,827 new services added to the Digital Marketplace. Since its inception, the Digital Marketplace has seen sales of over £467 million.

Sean McAvan, Managing Director of NaviSite Europe Ltd., said, “Millions of people in the UK rely on Government IT to provide critical services, and NaviSite builds secure, intelligent cloud platforms and services, that can potentially both reduce the cost and increase the resilience of these services; so having more of our solutions recognised into the G-Cloud programme is a testament that we are taking steps to achieve our ambitions in this space.”
