Synarbor Education chooses Calyx for Infrastructure-as-a-Service refresh

WAN and Hosted Telephony also part of extensive services agreement.

Synarbor Education – one of the leading names in education recruitment – has appointed managed services provider Calyx to deliver a complete refresh of its internal ICT infrastructure.

Calyx will oversee the migration of Synarbor’s current estate onto its own Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform and will also deliver a new MPLS network, hosted telephony with call recording and email security using Mimecast. The entire solution will be supported with a bespoke Managed Service that includes infrastructure support and access to Calyx’ 24/7/365 Service Desk.

“We wanted to entirely rethink our ICT architecture, to create a platform that would be resilient and secure, but that would also give us the ability to respond to the changes in the market and be more responsive to the demands of our clients” says Jaime Walker, Synarbor Education, Head of IT.

“To simplify matters we also wanted to consolidate with one supplier who would act as a long-term partner and provide a flexible solution that would answer the changing needs of the business. We chose Calyx as it could provide the right expertise across the whole ICT portfolio.”

Synarbor Education CEO, Dean Kelly agrees: “As a growing business it is important for us that any new system is futureproof. The flexibility and scalability of IaaS, combined with ongoing access to Calyx’s ICT expertise means we can be ready to match any market demands.”

“Our Infrastructure-as-a-Service offers businesses such as Synarbor Education exceptional return on their investment. Its resiliency, scalability and flexibility offer an ideal foundation for businesses looking to expand and respond to a changing marketplace” said Steve Clark, CEO at Calyx. “Like many businesses of its size, Synarbor has recognised the value of the cloud and buying ICT as a service because of the agility it provides and the competitive advantage this can bring. We are proud and delighted to be working in partnership the Synarbor team” concluded Clark.
