TDC deploys Oscilloquartz Synchronization Technology in national Danish network

Oscilloquartz, an ADVA Optical Networking company, says that TDC has deployed its timing and synchronization technology throughout its national Danish network. This deployment marks a major upgrade to TDC's timing and synchronization capabilities and is a critical step in the development of its optical transport infrastructure. The leading provider of communications services in the Danish region, TDC will be using Oscilloquartz's technology to ensure its national core network can meet stringent accuracy demands in the delivery of frequency, phase and time-of-day information.

"When you're responsible for a national network, you need partners that you can trust. You need technology that you know will work. There's no room for surprises," said Claus Bundgaard, manager, Transmission Planning, TDC. "That's why our relationship with the team at Oscilloquartz is so important. We depend upon their timing and synchronization technology to just work. No failures. No letdowns. And this is exactly why we've worked together for over 15 years. They continue to exceed our expectations. This latest network deployment is no different. With Oscilloquartz technology, our optical transport network is ready to take the next step, ready for the next challenge."

Oscilloquartz's team has worked extensively with TDC for many years and this latest network upgrade represents one of the most significant. In addition to the technology, TDC will also be using Oscilloquartz's management software, providing a complete end-to-end solution. What's more, TDC has also renewed its support contract, ensuring a rapid response to any issues that may arise. With Oscilloquartz's timing and synchronization technology featured throughout TDC's core network, the Danish carrier will be able to rapidly respond to new network opportunities and customer demand for time-sensitive applications.

"When you build such specialist technology as ours, you need to ensure that it delivers everything that it promises. When you're dealing with precise timing and synchronization, there's simply no room for error," commented Gil Biran, general manager, Oscilloquartz. "We know that our customers' businesses depend upon the reliability and accuracy of our equipment. That's why we have so many long-term relationships. TDC is an ideal example. We've worked with them for many years. We share their ambitions, their goals and firmly believe that our timing and synchronization technology will help them take their next steps forward. It promises to be an exciting journey."
