Exponential-e has appointed Jonathan Bridges as Head of Enterprise Cloud. Jonathan will assume responsibility for maintaining Exponential-e’s pedigree for innovation and market leadership by developing agile propositions that help businesses transition from legacy IT infrastructures to private Cloud platforms capable of supporting high-bandwidth enterprise applications in the future.

Lee Wade, CEO of Exponential-e, commented on the significance of the appointment: “Jonathan brings a deep understanding of the Cloud to Exponential-e and we are confident that he will be able to use this to help our customers extract greater value from their investments and accelerate the adoption of Cloud-based infrastructures. The Cloud has become an integral part of IT systems, with recent research from the Cloud Industry Forum revealing that 78 per cent of UK organisations have adopted at least one Cloud-based solution.[1] However, businesses are still resistant to moving all IT operations into a hosted environment, often starting their journey in stages. Using his specific emphasis on value-based selling, I am confident that Jonathan will play a key role in enabling Exponential-e to continue advancing forward in a high growth, competitive market.”

Jonathan brings 17 years of IT experience to the role and has held a number of leadership roles within the enterprise software space, helping organisations to scale and execute Cloud initiatives. He was instrumental in developing Fujitsu’s first Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering and was accountable for driving the adoption of Cloud services within COLT’s enterprise division across Europe. He has created and managed many teams in the UK and Europe, providing multi-region delivery of sales, projects and on-going operations. Jonathan’s most recent role was as Global Head of Business Development for Canopy’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) portfolio.

Lee Wade added: “Jonathan has a track-record in achieving growth and his appointment comes at an exciting time for Exponential-e. His experience and knowledge will be vital in driving the company forward throughout 2015 as he develops a team responsible for supporting existing customers, developing new business, and making sure that we continue to deliver the most innovative solutions possible. We’re extremely happy to be welcoming him on board.”

In support of Exponential-e’s ambition to continue achieving double-digit growth, Jonathan will play a key role in advancing its customer-first approach. Jonathan’s appointment comes a year after Exponential-e launched its CloudNet product, which changes the way that Cloud services are accessed over the corporate network. Using its wholly owned 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) core network, Exponential-e combines a superfast private Cloud with seamless and direct access to the majority of public Cloud services. This new approach helps side step the security issues that come with traditional Cloud models by ensuring that data is never sent over the public Internet and critical business applications sit on the Local Area Network, on the clean side of the firewall.

Jonathan Bridges, Head of Enterprise Cloud reflected on his appointment: “In a constantly evolving marketplace, it is those organisations that can adapt, stay nimble and innovate rapidly that are poised to succeed. Looking in from the outside, Exponential-e has always been at the forefront of innovation. I’m delighted to be part of making sure that it continues to remain at the cutting edge of Cloud services and committed to helping customers harness the opportunities that the Cloud can bring to businesses.”
