With government bodies requiring high levels of security for their IT solutions, Adapt has been awarded the Cyber Essentials PLUS certification for security.

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help public organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks. The scheme was launched in 2014 and has since created a technology security standard.

Following a rigorous compliance assessment, Adapt has been recognised as Cyber Essentials PLUS certified. To gain the certification, the award-winning, end-to-end managed services provider has been assessed over a series of technical controls including:
• Boundary firewalls and Internet gateways
• Server configuration
• Access control
• Malware protection
• Patch management

Scott Nicholson, Information Assurance and Security Manager at Adapt said: “The security landscape is constantly evolving and it’s important that we keep ahead of the curve. The Cyber Essentials scheme is an important one as it sets a standard for the whole industry to follow. We have always worked hard to make sure that our security systems are fully optimised to protect our customers’ services. Gaining the PLUS certification sets Adapt apart from the rest of the market and recognises our technical expertise in this area.”
