Avnet helps to bring EMC VSPEX BLUE to market

Avnet’s channel partners worldwide can now offer hyper-converged solutions that are sized for their mid-market customers.

Avnet Technology Solutions will provide its channel partners with EMC’s new EMC® VSPEX® BLUE hyper-converged infrastructure solution. This will allow channel partners to design and deploy new solutions that offer their SMB, mid-market and enterprise customers the cloud and data center benefits of a hyper-converged infrastructure and at the price points and sizes that align with their needs. The EMC VSPEX BLUE hyper-converged infrastructure appliance will be available to customers through Avnet’s highly knowledgeable channel community in Asia Pacific; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Latin America and the Caribbean; and North America.

“Hyper-converged appliances are gaining market share and growing exponentially in popularity within the IT community and this new solution addresses a demand we’ve seen from the mid-market, cloud service providers, and remote and branch offices,” said Dieter Lott, vice president business development, Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA. “EMC has created a unique hyper-converged infrastructure solution tailored to the specific needs of these customers, giving partners a clear opportunity to address this segment with flexible information infrastructures in the right scale. With Avnet providing the assembly, integration, logistics and services around the VSPEX BLUE framework, we will be able to accelerate partners’ time to market.”

Built and designed for simplicity, the EMC VSPEX BLUE appliance features fully automated configuration, single-click seamless scale-out and zero downtime during patches and updates. With the size and simplicity of the VSPEX BLUE appliance, a full IT team is not required for deployment, making it ideal for the mid-market, cloud service providers and remote and branch offices across industries, such as the public sector, education, technology and healthcare. Avnet will help partners integrate a wide array of management, security and information infrastructure offerings into VSPEX BLUE solutions to tailor them to the unique needs of their customers.

“Converged infrastructure is continuing to grow and redefine itself,” said Gregg Ambulos Senior Vice President, Global Channel Sales, EMC Corporation. “EMC selected Avnet to help bring the VSPEX BLUE hyper-converged infrastructure appliance to market because of its proven ability to transform technology into true business solutions, easily and simply for partners and their customers.
