Six Degrees Group continues to guide public sector towards G-Cloud

Six Degrees Group (6DG), a converged technology infrastructure provider, is continuing to educate the public sector on the benefits of Cloud Hosting. Key executives from 6DG attended the Government ICT Conference in London on Tuesday 13th January, at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre.

At the event 6DG engaged with public sector IT professionals to discuss how innovative cloud solutions can transform their organisations, adding value and improving operational agility.

6DG is committed to partnering with public sector organisations to optimise their ICT and drive value from investments. Now in its sixth iteration, G-Cloud is an outsourcing platform designed to give the public sector a flexible means of accessing accredited providers to procure their cloud services.

Last year, at Civil Service Live, 6DG found that 66% of UK civil servants had no knowledge of the G-Cloud initiative. With this in mind, Campbell Williams, Group Strategy and Marketing Director at 6DG hosted a session entitled “Cloudbusting: Myths Debunked and Realities Illuminated”, to help clarify the benefits of cloud services for the public sector. Additionally, at stand #15, 6DG continued to provide insight to government bodies on all things infrastructure – from compliance and connectivity, to security and hosting.
