Microsoft makes Softcat Cloud Solution Provider Partner

Softcat helps customers reach the Cloud as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider CSP.

Softcat is walking on air, as Microsoft has welcomed the reseller onto its Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The program elevates Softcat’s responsibilities, enabling them to provide customers with direct access to integrated Microsoft Cloud solutions with flexible management, support and monthly direct billing options.

Softcat can now integrate its various offerings with Office 365 and Windows Intune in order to provide customers with one simple process, consolidated billing and one point of contact. Customers will benefit from 24-hour support from Softcat’s 365/24/7 network operations centre (NOC), and a dedicated account manager to maintain the best possible customer service.

James Baker, Softcat’s alliances director, said: “As more businesses have become aware of the benefits of using the Cloud, we’ve witnessed an explosion in customer interest. Unlike many of our competitors, we are now able to provide them with a single source of the best Microsoft cloud solutions with complete support and direct billing, and the option of flexible monthly payments.” He added, “We were over the moon when Microsoft invited us to apply for this exclusive program; it was a rigorous selection process so I’m pleased that our skills, expertise and knowledge were deemed ‘up to scratch’. Now we effectively own the customer lifecycle, meaning we can deliver Office 365 and on-going support much more flexibly. We look forward to increasing our customers’ exposure to Office 365 through improved opportunities.”

“To meet the growing demand of our cloud-based solutions, we’re thrilled to expand the capabilities for cloud partners under the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “By joining the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program, partners will deepen customer relationships and expand business opportunities in the cloud.”

Softcat’s relationship with Microsoft has gone from strength to strength, particularly in recent years when it achieved the Gold Messaging Competency, won the global ‘SAM partner of the year’ award, and was a finalist for the ‘Volume Licensing Partner of the Year’ award.
