Hosting provider Tagadab has added solid state drive virtual private servers (SSD VPS) to its range of standard and bespoke hosting and server solutions.
Partnering with leading provider of all-flash storage systems, SolidFire, Tagadab has built an entirely new SSD platform from the ground up in order to meet demand from new and existing customers for greater system scalability and storage capabilities.
Steve Rawlinson, managing director of Tagadab, says: “We recognised the need to deliver an increased level of performance and reliability from our virtual servers, and working with SolidFire has enabled us to do just that.”
The partnership provides Tagadab with an SSD product that allows them to export SSD partitions to dedicated services, giving their customers better performance from faster, scalable storage.
Available on both Windows and Linux servers, the new SSD VPS offer customers better read/write speeds, guaranteed I/O performance, and provide businesses with flexible, linear scalability to accommodate their growing application performance requirements.
Applications have the storage availability they require for optimal performance and reallocate instantly during high volume usage without the need for data migration or the addition of more disks, and SolidFire’s Helix Data Protection means that hardware or software failures are practically eliminated.
Rawlinson adds: “The storage is independent from the host machine so there’s no single point of failure, and all virtual machines can be brought online on another host if the original should fail. With reduced latency due to balanced load distribution, applications such as servers, databases and websites will run more efficiently. Our SSD VPS solution offers reliability, greater speed and guaranteed performance, which will be a true game changer for our customers.”
