Utilising existing integrations with previous versions of ISE, Lancope is leveraging the latest ISE platform to deliver even more extensive network visibility and new mitigation capabilities to joint customers, and to organisations that acquire the Cisco CTD Solution. Designed to combat today’s most stealthy, sophisticated cyber-attacks, CTD combines the advanced security capabilities of Lancope and Cisco to provide unprecedented insight into the network interior.
“Lancope offers a best-of-breed platform for network intelligence and threat detection, enabling users to quickly uncover and thwart advanced attacks in their network,” said Russell Rice, senior director of ISE product management at Cisco. “By integrating with the new version of Cisco ISE, Lancope is substantially adding to the strength of its StealthWatch platform by delivering the latest capabilities for identity/device aware threat defense, as well as value-added, automated mitigation. We look forward to hearing the myriad of customer success stories surrounding improved threat response that will undoubtedly result from this powerful combination.”
Through this integration, Lancope’s StealthWatch System collects and analyses identity and device information from Cisco ISE, including security posture and access level, to obtain valuable context surrounding a security event. This information is combined with NetFlow data from Cisco and other devices, and is used to create a single, unified picture of everything happening on an enterprise network – including who is on the network, what they are doing, from where and with which device.
From there, the StealthWatch System can identify and send alerts surrounding anomalous or suspicious network activities that could signify an attack, such as excess authentication attempts. With StealthWatch System version 6.6 coming later this year, users will also be able to take mitigation actions directly from the StealthWatch Management Console (SMC) by using Cisco ISE’s dynamic network control capabilities.
“Cisco technology serves as the backbone for many of our customers’ network and security infrastructures,” said Mike Potts, president and CEO of Lancope. “We are excited to work closely with Cisco to ensure that our customers continue to benefit from tight integration between our rapidly-evolving security platforms. Together, Lancope and Cisco offer an unmatched solution for obtaining maximum security context and responding faster and more effectively to today’s increasingly malicious threats.”
