AAG Systems is implementing an entirely new core infrastructure for Ashgate Hospice's charity administration and back office, helping the charity to streamline its IT requirements and increase the reliability and efficiency of its IT provision.

Joey Hemingbrough, AAG Systems director of sales, strategy and innovation, outlined the scope of the project, "Our analysts performed a full system audit of Ashgate's existing IT infrastructure, and made several key recommendations which Ashgate has elected to implement in full, including the use of virtualisation technology, storage aware networks (SANs) and a full backup and disaster recovery solution. Ashgate's new IT infrastructure is fully scalable, should the need arise to expand its capacity or capabilities."

AAG will also be providing a proactive maintenance service that will monitor Ashgate's IT infrastructure in real time to ensure it is running at peak efficiency and to enable AAG to identify potential faults and bottlenecks before they cause problems.

With its new IT infrastructure in place, Ashgate Hospice will be able to take advantage of completely budgetable IT overheads, and will be able to keep those overheads to a minimum thanks to AAG's remote monitoring and maintenance service.

Lucy Nickson, Ashgate Hospice's chief executive was very satisfied with the service provided by AAG, saying "AAG has demonstrated the potential for economic and practical benefits in helping to modernise our IT systems. The company has been flexible in designing a carefully tailored solution that meets our needs perfectly and we look forward to seeing the results."
