Alex Fuerst is promoted to Vice President and General Manager Europe at Acronis

Acronis® has appointed Alex Fuerst as the new Vice President and General Manager Europe. Prior to this position, Alex Fuerst worked as Country Manager DACH and Eastern Europe at Acronis and was responsible for the regional management of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe.

Alex Fuerst stepped into the new role on 1st August 2014. He will be responsible for all European sales and direct and indirect business revenue. He will also oversee and manage the strategy, growth and expansion of the region.


Alex Fuerst started at Acronis as Country Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe in October 2012. His main responsibilities have been restructuring the regional Go-To-Market strategy, strengthening the Acronis presence in SMB and midmarket sectors, and expanding the regional partner landscape with great success. This was especially the case in the main Acronis focus areas: virtualisation, mobility, consumer and cloud.

Before joining Acronis, Alex Fuerst worked for Avaya as Managing Director and Sales Leader for Austria and Switzerland. Further career milestones included Motorola, Symbol Technologies and Siemens.


Alex Fuerst graduated from the faculty of law at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, and worked as a lawyer. Furthermore, he earned the Master of Business Administration at McDonough School of Business of Georgetown University in Washington D.C., USA.
