Fusion Media Networks secures G-Cloud Framework Agreement

Leading connectivity and business communication specialist, Fusion Media Networks, has announced its appointment to the G-Cloud 5 framework, the latest iteration of the Government’s public sector ITC procurement initiative designed to streamline the purchase of innovative, high quality services from reliable, accredited suppliers.

Fusion’s framework agreement is for the provision of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), where the company believes its Virtual Data Centre (VDC) offering will prove an attractive proposition for public sector customers. Fusion’s VDC services are amongst the most advanced on the market, providing an on-demand enterprise- class solution that enables organisations to quickly and efficiently deploy hosted cloud services. Using a powerful management portal, IT managers can build new servers or allocate resources of different levels to create a completely bespoke environment.

Lee Norvall, Fusion’s CTO, commented: “Fusion is delighted to be selected to join the G-Cloud framework at a time when the public sector is undergoing such radical change – driven by both new technology and tighter budgets. We’re confident that our state-of-the-art solutions, technical expertise, and absolute commitment to first-class customer support will help many public sector organisations make a successful and pain-free journey to the cloud. And we believe that our agile structure, flexible approach to business and highly competitive costs will provide them with unrivalled value on the way, and into the future.”

Fusion joins over 400 suppliers who are new to the framework, bringing the total to more than 1500 providers able to offer services through CloudStore, the online catalogue containing each of the G-Cloud suppliers and their services. With CloudStore sales now past £175M, the growing awareness and support for the G-Cloud framework is opening up significant opportunities for many new private sector suppliers, especially in the SME sector.
