Before joining Quorum, Sharp spent 15 years at NetApp in various positions before his final role there as vice president of emerging products. In this capacity, he led emerging businesses at NetApp in the areas of mobile, data protection, flash and object storage. Sharp's previous roles at NetApp include vice president of product strategy and operations, vice president of data protection, and senior director of pricing and strategic planning. Prior to NetApp, Sharp spent several years as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. and served as general manager for the National Water Commission. Sharp holds a patent entitled "Method and system for providing a usage guarantee in the operation of a storage server in a network storage system."

Sharp's appointment comes on the heels of an impressive 2013 and promising start to 2014. The company closed out 2013 with record growth, reflecting an increase in demand for the company's innovative DRaaS technology. November's $10 million Series C funding round helped is helping the company meet this demand with additional headcount in sales and engineering.
