RES Software taps high-tech marketing veteran Tracey Mustacchio as Chief Marketing Officer

RES Software has announced the appointment of Tracey Mustacchio to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Tracey, an experienced high-tech leader and market strategist, will help lead the company to a new level of growth by spearheading the company’s global product marketing and communications initiatives.

Tracey joins RES Software from IBM, where she served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the company’s Information Management division.

Tracey brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, business development and product management to RES Software, in addition to a long track record of helping companies strengthen their brand to dominate specific market niches. With an entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of developing powerful go-to-market strategies in the technology sector, Tracey will lead RES Software’s strategic communications initiatives to drive sales and achieve corporate goals and objectives.

“Together with the RES Software Board of Directors and our employees, I am very pleased to welcome a professional of Tracey’s expertise and proven strategic ability as a member of our company’s most senior leadership team,” said Klaus Besier, CEO of RES Software. “With the company now poised for continued rapid growth through the broader adoption of our RES IT Store offering, Tracey’s established track record as a marketing strategist and a global senior executive is the right addition at just the right time for us.”

“I am happy to join RES Software at a very exciting time for the company,” added Mustacchio. “I’m looking forward to building on the strengths and already established leadership team of RES Software to meet the evolving needs of our clients and help drive the company’s growth to the next level.”

In her previous role as VP of WW Marketing for IBM's Information Management division, Tracey played a key part in developing the company’s stance on big data and analytics, guiding meaningful communications campaigns around these enterprises issues. Prior to IBM, Tracey served as Vivisimo's (acquired by IBM) CMO and led all of Vivisimo's marketing and product management functions, including go-to-market strategy, public relations and lead generation.

Before Vivisimo, Tracey held senior marketing and product management positions at TraceSecurity, Secure Software (acquired by Fortify Software), McAfee and Business Evolution (acquired by Kana). She also founded and operated her own strategic marketing consultancy that specialised in marketing and product management consulting for high-growth companies, further solidifying her expertise in mission-critical communications in the enterprise technology sector. A sampling of Tracey’s category-leading clients included Rightnow Technologies (acquired by Oracle) and Cybertrust (acquired by Verizon).
