Microsoft awards Quiss Technology Gold Hosting Competency

Quiss Technology, the IT outsourcing and hosting specialist has earned the Gold Hosting competency by demonstrating a best-in-class ability and commitment to meet the evolving needs of Microsoft’s customers in the modern dynamic business environment.

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, individuals within the business must successfully prove their level of technology expertise in a series of exams, before being designated to a single Microsoft competency, a move that ensures a certain minimum level of staffing.

Achieving the Gold Hosting competency also required Quiss to submit customer references that demonstrated successful projects, along with implementing a yearly customer satisfaction study to confirm adherence to the guidelines set by Microsoft.

Quiss Operations Director Clive Taylor was understandably pleased with this latest accreditation: “This is an important reward for the hard work we have put in over recent years to develop our hosting service and Cloud-based solutions for clients.

“We have been operating our hosting centre here in Tamworth for years, with all the necessary technical skills and expertise in what is now a core business unit within the Quiss offering. Fortunately, what Microsoft is looking for in its partners and often takes some years to put in place, reflects the way we have always managed our hosting services. This allowed us to achieve this Gold Hosting competency within a matter of days, without any special steps needed to be taken.

“Quiss continues to invest in the best talent, technology and training to ensure we continually improve the service we deliver. Our commitment to providing a class-leading hosting service is total and all-consuming, as we strive to be the best we can be, in the hosting and management of critical business applications for our clients.”

Head of Cloud Services at Quiss, Paul Tozer commented: “Quiss has always had a close working relationship with Microsoft which offers benefits both to us and importantly to our clients, a fact recognised by this latest accreditation.

“As a Gold partner, Microsoft make support available more readily on their products if anything out of the ordinary occurs and we’re able to access new products and services sooner than Partners without Gold competencies.

“Quiss has delivered a high quality hosting service for years, supported by a technical team largely made up of Microsoft qualified professionals, who all understand the necessary detail but also have a big picture view of how systems integrate successfully to the benefit of our clients’ businesses.”

Quiss offer fixed price contracts or work with clients on a variable rate contract that can change to suit the exact needs of each client; the business model is based on agility, compromise and pragmatism. These values have seen Quiss increase the services they offer to include; Total IT Outsourcing, Cloud Solutions, IT Consultancy, Converged Telephony Solutions, SharePoint Consultancy, Disaster Recovery, IT Project Management, Helpdesk Support, Training, Video-conferencing Solutions, Third-party Applications Management.

“By achieving a gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
