Portugal Telecom and Altran Portugal launch international partnership

Portugal Telecom (PT), the largest telecom provider in Portugal, and leading telecoms consultant Altran Portugal has announced a launch partnership to combine its cloud and data services across Europe.

The partnership will offer European customers the chance to use Portugal Telecoms network and its secure, certified datacenters, wherever they are based. Based at both the consumer and business level, PT’s strategy is based on the convergence and mainstreaming of infrastructure, security, technical support and management services through the cloud and its international data centers, including the recently launched data center at Covilhã, one of the largest and most ecological in the world.

This partnership will enable PT’s goal to expand its global positioning and will capitalise on its network of partners and international presence across four continents.
Miguel Moreira, CEO of PT’s Cloud Unit, said: “This agreement with Altran formalises an important partnership, which will ensure competitiveness on a world scale, in terms of addressing different markets with information and communication technologies, throughout a global reach network of data centers. We are proud to internationally grow alongside Altran.”

Altran Portugal, with more than 500 employees, has been proving the ability of Portuguese teams to respond to complex, large scale and international projects from the Nearshore Service Centre for information systems and telecommunications engineering.

PT Cloud Services are available to all client segments and includes Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
