Watchful Software has released version 5.6 of RightsWATCH, its award winning data-centric information security solution. The cornerstone of the newest release of RightsWATCH is the extension of its industry-leading Data Classification capabilities for projects in the modern enterprise, as well as streamlining the usage of the software in a truly multinational environment, where supporting multiple languages is paramount.

“The response that we have received to RightsWATCH has been tremendous, as it is the first solution to truly automate an information control policy that doesn’t rely on user education or awareness,” states Adam Davison, Director of Product Development at Cloud Distribution, the UK-based distributor for Watchful Software. “The enhancements in Release 5.6 are a response to what our resellers and services partners have asked for in their global infosecurity projects, and we couldn’t be more pleased.”

Extending the abilities of RightsWATCH to support more flexible Information Security policies, version 5.6 of the data-centric information security solution provides the ability to set and apply different watermarks and visual labels to information, according to its sensitivity and classification parameters. "RightsWATCH allows companies to set content and context aware rules to classify sensitive data and, per the classification granted to the file, have multiple watermarks and labels added. These multiple tags are triggered based on the classification “Level”, “Scope” and/or “Company”, under the Multi-level Security Model matrix implemented by RightsWATCH,” explains Rui Melo Biscaia, Director of Product Management at Watchful Software.

Amongst the key enhancements delivered in RightsWATCH Version 5.6 is also its unique ability to address a specific need of the modern enterprise, i.e. the ability to support multiple languages in one single installation package. “Nowadays, localization in software is paramount. Companies have subsidiaries and outsourcing facilities across the globe. The ability to support multiple languages in such a way that enables the best understanding possible of the global Information Security Policy and, moreover, on how to apply it on the user everyday life, is cornerstone,” states Rui Melo Biscaia.

RightsWATCH is a state-of-the-art data-centric information security solution that ensures that sensitive information can only be used by those that have express authority to do so. Even if sensitive data is leaked, it is rendered useless to unauthorized parties that may acquire it. RightsWATCH enforces a multi-level security model of data classification, providing access to data based on its level of sensitivity matched to user credentials on a "need to know" basis, in order to protect data privacy and achieve regulatory compliance. Leveraging Data Classification, Information Rights Management and Data Loss Prevention in a single solution, RightsWATCH keeps sensitive data safe and secure regardless of whether it is at rest, in motion, or in use – even if it's totally outside your network perimeter.
