LDeX media clients will be able to distribute content to end users with low latency, high data transfer speeds with no commitments via its AWS direct platform. As it stands, the north London based data centre operator benefits from being on net with Level 3’s global content distribution network and offers direct peering with other leading CDNs.
Commenting on the news, Rob Garbutt, CEO of LDeX said: ‘The addition of Amazon Cloud Front to the LDeX Media platform will enhance our existing offering by enabling our clients to deliver content globally from AWS’ single interface in a highly elastic format”
He added ‘This service will facilitate LDeX Group in attracting additional clients in the media space such as IPTV broadcast, satellite and OTT players with a common focus on scalable and content delivery solutions.’
The news follows the launch of the LDeX media platform which offers industry partners the opportunity to globally connect, share resources and support each other through best practices in order to fulfil media, content and satellite broadcasting requirements. With an onsite satellite farm and access to AWS Direct Connect, the north London based data centre operator provides immediate access to satellite downlinks, content distribution networks, vast storage capacity, maximum levels of security and a range of features to protect against downtime. Additionally, LDeX clients can connect directly to the largest global IP networks including Level 3, Cogent Communications, Sprint and NTT.
