EUHCC enters into agreement with BridgeHead Software

EU Headquarters of Competence Centres (EUHCC) has signed a reseller agreement with healthcare data management company, BridgeHead Software. This agreement allows EUHCC to extend its existing portfolio to include BridgeHead’s healthcare data management (HDM) solution, enabling hospitals to efficiently manage all of their systems and data within one environment.

As a platinum partner, EUHCC will offer BridgeHead’s HDM Solution through its vast and growing healthcare business network. Headquartered in London, EUHCC is a rapidly expanding business and management consultancy for the healthcare industry currently operating in 15 countries, including Germany, India and Saudi Arabia. By June 2014, it plans to open further offices in Russia, Singapore, Brazil and South Africa – providing a truly global service to healthcare organisations.

EUHCC has worked closely with BridgeHead for some time. Back in August 2012, EUHCC launched its successful Shared Medical Archiving Solution (SMAS), a fully certified solution for preserving patient data, adhering to formal data protection rules based on stringent German legal standards. SMAS includes components of BridgeHead’s HDM Solution, to offer a fully managed, Cloud-based archiving solution for all hospital data, providing healthcare organisations an added level of assurance that where their data resides is not only compliant, but will remain secure. Now EUHCC has expanded its portfolio to include the full capabilities of BridgeHead Software’s HDM Solution, offering a software platform to store, protect and share clinical and administrative information, both on-premise and in the Cloud.

The HDM Solution provides a vendor neutral archive (VNA) for DICOM images and a compatible archive for non-DICOM files, both featuring a rich policy engine used for information lifecycle management (ILM), and controlling features like encryption and compression. It also offers full protection for all data found within healthcare environments, such as medical images, scanned patient documents, and patient notes, through to email, PDFs and other office type files.

“Hospitals across the globe battle with the same issues of ever-growing healthcare data on a daily basis. By making intelligent decisions, they can strategically manage all data to maximise efficiency, reduce costs and improve clinical decisions and patient outcomes,” said Mark Silvan, CEO of EUHCC.

“We want to put hospitals back in control of their healthcare data. This is why we wanted to work closely with BridgeHead Software as our global partner – their solutions are designed to work with any hospital’s chosen applications and storage hardware, regardless of vendor. This is a unique offering,” added Klaus Aulenbacher, Managing Director of EUHCC.

“We’re excited to partner with EUHCC as this extends the availability of BridgeHead Software’s HDM Solution into new markets where we have not previously operated,” said Andrew Carr, Director of Alliances – EMEA, BridgeHead Software. “This global collaboration will mean that even more hospitals will now be offered a complete, secure and controlled way of managing their data, delivering peace of mind around how to store, protect and share their clinical and administrative healthcare information.”
