Dropship joins Netsuite’s Developer Network

Cloud-delivered inventory management for mid-sized retailers and manufacturers looking to go multi-level for sales

The latest addition to the growing range of applications that plug into and exploit the Netsuite business systems platform adds a distributed inventory management solution for retailers and manufacturers.

It comes from DropShip Commerce, which has built the application using Netsuite’s SuiteApp applications development environment. It enables retailers and manufacturers using NetSuite SuiteCommerce to manage their distributed inventory so they can increase efficiency in how consumers find, purchase and receive products. The application is designed to extend NetSuite SuiteCommerce’s capabilities to coordinate distributed supply networks and manage order fulfillment.

The inventory application becomes part of Netsuite’s “This partnership is the result of significant demand to integrate our services with NetSuite, and we look forward to providing tremendous value for their vast user base – particularly mid-market retailers – by helping them compete with giant Ecommerce marketplaces.”

SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN), which promotes third party products under the `Built for NetSuite’ brand. This provides partners with information, resources and a method to verify that their applications and integrations, built using the NetSuite SuiteCloud Computing Platform, meet NetSuite standards and best practices. The progam is designed to give NetSuite customers additional confidence that SuiteApps have been built to meet these high standards.

“With NetSuite, we have again expanded the number of out-of-the-box integrations we provide to Ecommerce and order management systems,” said Jeremy Hanks, founder and CEO of DropShip Commerce. “This partnership is the result of significant demand to integrate our services with NetSuite, and we look forward to providing tremendous value for their vast user base – particularly mid-market retailers – by helping them compete with giant Ecommerce marketplaces.”

The DropShip Commerce SuiteApp adds value by allowing both brick-and-mortar stores and ecommerce companies to reduce overhead costs and increase responsiveness to retail consumers, who increasingly demand ubiquity and uniformity in multi-level shopping experiences.

“The DropShip Commerce SuiteApp provides an innovative third-party solution for NetSuite,” said Guido Haarmans, vice president of business development for technology partners at NetSuite. “By extending DropShip’s services to our platform, NetSuite SuiteCommerce users now have a valuable resource for streamlining their supply chains to better manage their inventory and keep up with consumer demand.”

The use of third-party distributed inventory has gained widespread recognition in recent years, most notably via the Amazon.com Marketplace. Through its cloud-native enterprise platform, DropShip Commerce brings similar functionality to mid-market retailers and brand manufacturers. The company helps both retailers and manufacturers gain greater visibility and control over the supply chain by streamlining product merchandising, inventory management and order management.
