RF Code launches Mobile Management Platform

RF Code has released a powerful new upgraded version of their open architecture asset management software application, Asset Manager Mobile. A key component to their fully automated end-to-end asset and environmental management solutions, this new platform extends the reach of data centre management control with its mobile device app for iPad®, tablets and smartphones and its new live, interactive desktop graphing and charting capabilities.

“The new Asset Manager Mobile software strengthens the level at which data centre managers can monitor and control their facilities. With its live, real time data and interactive feature, the platform allows greater visibility and interactionfrom wireless devices at any time of the day or night.” says Chris Gaskins, vice president of product development at RF Code.

Running on both iOS and Android devices, the core functionality of Asset Manager Mobile is to enable easy access to find, browse, view, add, edit and delete assets and sensors. The app provides a simple yet powerful global search feature to quickly access any location, asset or sensor defined in the system. Alert conditions (such as security violations or elevated temperature or humidityreadings) are also sent directly to Asset Manager Mobile, enabling immediate, proactive responses to critical issues.

“RF Code’s technology has quickly become an integral part of IT asset management for many large enterprises and DCIM suppliers worldwide. Building on the rising industry demand for immediate, accurate and automated information, we worked closely with our customers to design an application that reflects their needs and exceeds expectations,” says Chad Riseling, vice president of worldwide sales for RF Code. “For a growing number of new customers, the already low sub 12-month average ROI following deployment is rapidly dropping to smaller cycles. With the new mobile management platform enabling secure real time data from anywhere at any time, we expect that positive trend to continue.”

“Real time” refers to the actual time during which a process or event occurs. Within a dynamic environment such as a data centre, where large technology enterprises have recorded as many as 45% of assets moving location within a year, collecting real time data is an absolute necessity to effectively managing operations.

“While many DCIM suppliers claim real time data capabilities either through desktop or mobile devices, our automated system is the only solution that does not require any ongoing manual interaction with assets to provide accurate data continuously,” says Richard Jenkins, vice president of marketing and strategic partnerships. “Real time data offers a compelling ROI value to any enterprise. The market is demanding instant and accurate availability of information - RF Code is delivering it.”

Companies like FedEx, CME, and HP among other global enterprises, have already recognized the enormous value of deploying RF Code’s active RFID system for asset and environmental monitoring and continue to gain ROI from the data being delivered. RF Code continues to expand its customer base with Bloomberg, eBay, Vodafone and Bank of America joining a quickly growing list of leading companies eager to begin realizing the benefits of an automated, active RFID solution for their data centres. In addition, most large DCIM providers have integrated or are positioning to integrate with RF Code’s technology in order to offer a greater level of service to their customers.

With availability beginning in October 2013, RF Code’s new mobile management platform offers customers and partners alike the ability to experience an elevated degree of visibility capturing live, real time data through any mobile device and easily drill down into reports, charts and graphs for complete control of their data centres.
