AssureStor launches Filer as a Service (FaaS), delivering NetApp® secondary storage in the Cloud

AssureStor’s Filer as a Service platform delivers an easy to deploy, simple to manage and cost effective Cloud service for NetApp® secondary storage requirements.

Once subscribed to the service a dedicated ‘virtual Filer’ (vFiler™) will be published to your location allowing you to immediately start replicating your critical data off-site to one of our secure, Tier III+ data centres.

Jason Reid, Managing Director of AssureStor said “NetApp® storage arrays deliver great levels of data protection out of the box. However, for many organisations the issue is that all of their data remains on-site, the only solution is typically the purchase of a second NetApp® storage array that is run at an alternative site location. Filer as a Service allows these organisations to now move critical data off-site from their primary NetApp® to a secure Cloud based platform”.

Jason continued stating “Filer as a Service delivers an efficient, cost effect solution for protecting critical data, allowing organisations to choose what data they replicate off-site. And as organisations are only billed monthly for what they store, there is no high capital expenditure or the need to purchase capacity that may or may not be used”.
