MCPc announces partnership with Dell for Desktop as a Service (DaaS)

MCPc and Dell Inc. have announced the launch of a new layer of their partnership, and MCPc is now proud to offer Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS). This innovative DaaS platform provides a cloud-based, simplified, customer-managed virtual desktop solution for any size business.

As an evolution of their already strong partnership, MCPc and Dell worked together to analyze and interpret important trends in I.T. The results of these analyses identified a customer need for managed virtual desktops, flexible user experiences, and the ability to secure, scale, and store information. These key benefits to DaaS relate to increasing trends towards mobility and cloud storage, which is central for MCPc's Anyplace Workspace® and MyCloud practice group.

Simplified, MCPc and Dell are pleased to announce that this comprehensive Desktop as a Service enables their clients to create a private, hybrid, public, or personal cloud to store data and applications. This results in simpler, more reliable end-user devices. With DaaS, control and choice of application delivery models can be optimized by clients to meet specific objectives.

"Alignment does not begin to describe our partnership," said Jed Ayres, SVP of Marketing at MCPc and lead of MCPc's MyCloud team. "This DaaS offering is like looking into the future - everyone is moving to the cloud, and desktop as a service are going to be the new synonym for efficiency in IT. At MCPc, we are excited about the potential this represents across our business, and it underscores the confidence a major technology solution provider like Dell has in our organization."

MCPc's DaaS offering enables a managed services layer of image creation, deployment and maintenance of client material. This includes desktop management, monitoring, patching, and anti-virus deployment. MCPc's unique Managed Services practice area handles Tier 2 monitoring services 24 hours daily.

Steve Bodnar, General Manager / Director of Dell Virtualization Services remarked: "The combination of MCPc's Anyplace Workspace® service and Dell's DaaS On Demand will provide customers a great solution to simplify and secure their desktop computing environment, and provide the capabilities needed to address increasing mobile and BYOD needs. This is the fastest and simplest route to desktop virtualization."
