Softcat welcomes 36 outstanding new recruits to support growth

Softcat, renowned in the channel for its investment in resource, welcomes 36 new recruits to its sales and IT teams in London, Manchester and Marlow. Softcat’s ethos is to work hard, play hard and above all provide outstanding customer service, so all 36 recruits will first receive a month’s worth of intensive training to bring them up to speed with its product and service offering.

25 new starts will join the Marlow team as sales executives, sales support executives, and customer service executives, in addition to more specific roles in particular sectors. Five new starts will join the Manchester team, and six will join the London team, all as sales executives.

The large influx of talented new employees follows a booming year for Softcat; the reseller has already accrued two significant achievements in recognition of its excellence as an employer, and multiple awards from various partners in recognition of high sales performance. Managing Director Colin Brown believes that these two areas of success are interrelated.

He said, “A huge welcome to our new intakes, I hope you’ll be very happy here. At Softcat we are very employee-centric; we put them at the heart of everything we set out to achieve as a company and it works. Happy employees lead to happy customers and high performance, and this is proven by our high levels of customer satisfaction and our continually increasing revenues.” He added, “We pride ourselves on the calibre of our employees. We only hire the best of the best, and then we train them up to meet our high standards. We strive to create a happy, stimulating and rewarding workplace for them, which has led to exceedingly low attrition rates.”

HR and recruitment manager Shelley Ferrigno said, “Progression is here for the taking at Softcat; employees are constantly moving into new roles in areas of particular interest to them. An employee might join us as a customer service executive, spend some time in sales, then end up in a more technical role. We aim to accommodate our employees’ interests, and always reward hard work.”

Softcat recently achieved 10th best medium sized workplace in Europe in the Europe’s Best Workplace listing, and 4th place in the UK. As a company it prides itself on the care it takes with its employees.
