· Snapshots: Protect data by creating a point-in-time replica of a complete NAS (file) or iSCSI (block) storage volume. A snapshot makes a copy of the data directly on the NAS, and allows for easy file or folder restore. Windows Shadow Copy Services (.VSS) provider driver exists in the LenovoEMC System Manager, and allows Microsoft® Windows™ Server and applications such as SQL™ and Exchange™ to make direct snapshots to the LenovoEMC network storage array.
· SSD Caching (Cache Pools): Utilize ultra fast Solid-State Drives (SSD) for fast data reads and writes to-and-from storage. System automatically learns which data is frequently accessed, and places files and/or data blocks in the SSD cache to speed data read access from SSDs or data writes to traditional Hard Drive array.
· Network File System (NFS) v4: Improved security and manageability in networks by providing Kerberos security model. Support for Unix and Open Linux Active Directory Domains for User and Group management.
· Active Directory High Availability & Hybrid Authentication: Join multiple AD domains to import User and Group list to the NAS. Authenticates users and groups with the local NAS if the remote AD server is unavailable.
· Video Surveillance: built-in Video Surveillance Management software from Mindtree® and direct compatibility with Axis Video Hosting Solution (AVHS) for local to hosted cloud video storage and management.
· McAfee Anti-Virus: Built-in, real-time on-access and automatic anti-Virus scanning and cleaning using the embedded McAfee® VirusScan® Enterprise
· LenovoEMC System Manager (LSM) Client: Automatically connects your PC or Mac to your LenovoEMC storage systems, locally and through the Personal Cloud. Makes a persistent connection for easy backup and copying of files to-and-from storage. Provides NAS health status and one-click connection to manage all of the LenovoEMC network storage systems on your network.
