Rackspace Academy launches in London

Global initiative designed to help businesses build, deploy and grow multiple clouds.

Rackspace® Hosting is launching its new Rackspace Academy programme in London on July 11th. Unlocked London, the first UK event in its Unlocked world tour, is a free full day workshop for customers, prospects and developers, designed to explore a number of technical and business aspects of the hybrid cloud.

Hybrid cloud adoption is being driven by organisations’ growing demand for diverse cloud computing requirements. In this multiple cloud environment, businesses are looking for guidance and advice to help them deploy a cloud solution that meets their specific needs.

Unlocked is ideal for anyone looking to learn more about hybrid cloud - how to build and deploy powerful applications and solutions on it, and how it can benefit their business. The event will encompass a wide range of options for businesses wanting to learn about the hybrid cloud and Rackspace products – including classroom-based training, e-learning, webinars, online office hours, social media and more.

“In the face of other industry players who charge thousands of pounds for basic training, Rackspace will provide its new Unlocked workshop for free as part of the wider investment that we make into the hybrid cloud economy,” said Nigel Beighton, Vice President, Technology, Rackspace. “This type of resourcefulness directly reflects Rackspace’s leadership space in cloud computing as we seek to help bring new efficiencies and operational flexibility to firms of all shapes and sizes. Through the Academy, Rackspace is engaging with its community of start-ups, developers and customers to help them utilise the full power of hybrid cloud effectively.”

There will be a number of sessions during the day, split into technical and business tracks, enabling a deep focus on the issues and questions that attendees will have in mind. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with Rackspace cloud experts, developers and customers leading the way in cloud deployments.
