UKFast takes on Cloud giants with 3Par

Cloud and colocation specialist UKFast has launched its assault on the cloud market, investing £500,000 on HP’s industry-leading 3Par storage.

With more than 100TB of storage per SAN and enterprise grade disks, the 3Par represents the best in reliable, high speed cloud storage.

UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: “The 3Par is not only highly redundant, its use of Adaptive Optimisation makes it the fastest SAN storage we know of.
“This dynamic storage tiering, combined with its novel RAID layout and chunklet-based RAID distribution, means that spindle count per volume is maximised which means higher IOPS and more speed.”

The investment in 3Par is part of UKFast’s £12m investment in its elastic cloud range, eCloud.
