NextiraOne’s Managed Services Director, Mark Petty, has been awarded the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) West Midlands Director of the Year 2013 accolade in the SME Category.

Mark leads the Managed Services division within NextiraOne, which is responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of its customers’ IT infrastructure. The IoD award comes as NextiraOne announced a significant investment into its Managed Services portfolio, and highlights further NextiraOne’s commitment, as an organisation and by its people, in delivering effective service and business value to customers.
This award celebrates Mark’s ongoing achievements and his continued hard work, in developing NextiraOne’s Managed Services offering and customer success. As a consistent high performer in both Sales and Leadership roles at NextiraOne, Mark was a “Highly Commended” runner up in the IoD’s awards last year and shortlisted again this year from the hundreds of applicants. Mark proved himself in front of an interview panel as the deserved winner of such an outstanding award.

Mark, who is based in Sutton Coldfield, was presented his award by John Phillips, IoD Regional Director, who recognised in Mark his exceptional ability to lead, and to think on his feet. He commented; “We had a tremendous response to our Director of the Year awards this year and the Small to Medium Enterprise Category was particularly competitive with a very high standard of entrants. However, the judges could not fail to be impressed with Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit, his thirst for knowledge through lifelong learning and his genuine commitment to corporate social responsibility.”
Mark Petty added: “Last year I was highly commended in the Young Director of the Year Awards 2012 and it’s nice to go one stage further and win an award this year against very strong executive competition. It’s a great personal and professional achievement for me and whilst it’s an individual award, it is really the culmination of the effort, commitment and on-going support of my family, friends and colleagues at NextiraOne.”
