Siam added to Government Cloud

Lockheed Martin UK has further expanded its range of Information Technology (IT) cloud computing services available to Government customers after being included by the Cabinet Office on its most recent list of suppliers.

G-Cloud 3 is the latest release of IT Cloud suppliers awarded a place on the framework for Government departments and organisations wishing to procure external IT Cloud services. The company has been involved in all G-Cloud Framework Agreements and continues to increase the range of IT Cloud services it offers.

The most recent release has seen the company add IT Service Integration and Management (SIAM) to its menu of services.

Lockheed Martin UK has experience in end user support, system and cyber security, and full lifecycle software system development as part of its SIAM work. This includes a full range of ITIL V3 Service Management; service desk implementations; performance management frameworks and multi-sourced vendor governance models.

Besides SIAM, the Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions business offers Government organisations the opportunity to outsource computing and storage, e-mail and collaboration, cloud strategy and integration; cyber security; cloud brokering; virtualisation consulting; and virtual desktop infrastructure for delivery of critical managed IT services to their customers.

The latest G-Cloud framework agreement will run for 12 months.

“Lockheed Martin can bring the experience and knowledge of managing SIAM services that range from one person engagements to multi-billion pound programmes,” said Dan Norton, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin UK Information Systems and Global Solutions.
“SIAM and the other services offered by Lockheed Martin UK under G-Cloud 3 can provide huge efficiencies and cost savings by increasing standardisation and consistency across large organisations such as Government departments and agencies. We look forward to working with them to increase their IT capability through the use of outsourced expertise.”

Lockheed Martin UK’s other major IT work for the UK Government has included the technical project management of the 2011 Census and more than 25 years of supporting National Air Traffic Services (NATS).

The UK is Lockheed Martin’s largest international market. Headquartered in Central London, LMUK operates 17 sites and directly had around £1 billion in sales last year. The company and its UK supply chain sustain employment for more than 10,000 individuals dedicated to the security and well-being of the United Kingdom.
