Skyscape Cloud Services has announced that the full range of its accredited cloud services will be available on the latest G-Cloud Framework – Giii. Skyscape’s cloud services will be available to the UK’s 30,000 public sector organisations through the CloudStore.
The G-Cloud Framework has revolutionised IT procurement for the UK public sector. UK SME Skyscape has been a supplier to the framework since its launch in 2012 and together with its partners, Skyscape accounts for a significant number of the accredited cloud services through the framework. Skyscape has been awarded numerous contracts through G-Cloud since its launch, working with organisations such as HMRC, MoD and Government Digital Services.
All aspects of Skyscape’s Assured Cloud platform, from security, to service management to sustainability, are independently verified by a comprehensive set of globally accepted assurance certifications and accreditations. Skyscape has achieved Pan Government Accreditation for all of its G-Cloud services, which confirms their suitability for supporting IL0-IL3 data. These cloud services allow public sector organisations to benefit from lower costs, reduced procurement times and a simplified tendering process, without compromising either performance or security.
“The popularity of the third G-Cloud Framework – Giii – is a testament to its success in shaking up public sector IT procurement,” said Phil Dawson, CEO of Skyscape Cloud Services. “The Framework encourages transparency and competition as the door is opened to allow a wider range of service providers to work with public sector organisations. In turn, the public sector benefits from highly secure, low cost utility services which in many cases can be procured in hours and deployed in minutes without set-up costs. This is a significant enabler in delivering better business outcomes at substantially lower cost.”
Skyscape provides a range of assured cloud computing services dedicated to the UK public sector, delivered with leading technologies from Alliance Partners: QinetiQ, VMware, Cisco, EMC and Ark Continuity. Skyscape’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service solutions have helped to transform the provision of IT solutions into a lean, elastic, assured green utility by providing a genuine on-demand cloud computing service.
“With the Cabinet Office’s ‘cloud first’ mandate, Government organisations are being encouraged to consider public cloud services as the main channel of their IT spending,” continued Dawson. “The G-Cloud Framework will continue to make this process easier, helping to broaden the market and providing a platform for SMEs like Skyscape to interact with and sell to UK public sector organisations that they previously wouldn’t have been able to reach.”
Skyscape is currently working on over 100 projects across central government, local authorities, police, healthcare and other publicly funded bodies.
